New Website!

If you've made it this far, then you've probably already seen the main website www.braedyphoto.com. This is version 2.0 of the site, which just went live yesterday. I'd love people's feedback on this. I've basically kept the same overall design, but have rearranged and added some things. Among them is the resources page...I have a lot of questions from people about headshot or comp card reproductions, or my work with the agencies, so think of this as sort of a silent FAQ for all of the above. I've also linked to the other photographers working out of the studio co-op, some of the stylists I have worked with, and some other great photographers in the region. The other big change is the addition of the portrait and wedding sections. I've been very fortunate to really start to grow and expand my photography business over the last few months, so making some changes in services and pricing was the next logical step. Braedy Photography now officially offers studio and location portrait packages, senior photos, and wedding/engagement photos. So if you liked your photos...tell a friend! In fact, tell ten friends! :) I can't think of a single person who wouldn't benefit from some great professional photos. Life is too short; let me help you capture a moment that will last you a lifetime!

Actors in print...

Ever wonder how to get more work in print? The are many opportunities today for people that don't fit the traditional "model" description to make money doing print work. Clients often want attractive "real people" with a good personality to use in their print campaigns, as opposed to the traditional fashion model. So, as an actor, or someone who does not consider themselves to be a traditional model, how do you compete for this print work? The easiest and best way to get started is to shoot at least three different looks in a photo shoot. That is generally considered to be the minimum that is accepted by most clients for booking print work. This allows you or your agency to have a variety of types of photos to send to clients for print submissions, greatly increasing your chances than if you only had an actor's headshot. In addition, three looks is usually the minimum amount to be featured on your agency's commercial print page, another great tool clients use on a daily basis to book talent. Braedy Photography can provide you not only with a variety of looks at an affordable price, but also a variety of poses with different energies that will make even a beginner to the industry look like a seasoned pro!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can answer any questions. I'm looking forward to working with you!

Brandon

Brandon was kind enough to volunteer for a lighting test in the new studio space. We had fun playing around with lighting setups, and there are many cool shots that I didn't post here. After the lighting test I helped him out by shooting some other stuff for his model portfolio.

New Studio

As of May 2008, Braedy Photography has officially moved into a new studio space! Our new location will be 5200 Prospect Rd in Cleveland, home of the old Packard car show building (right across from the Agora). Braedy Photography, Bishop Photographics, and Christael have partnered up to share the huge space that once housed the Bishop Photographics commercial photography studio. The move will open up huge opportunities for not only the photographers, but also actors, models, and commercial clients looking for a quality photographic experience. The building is currently being rennovated to include many modern upgrades. Phase I (currently underway) includes use of the back studio space--built in interior settings, working shoot-through fireplace, working spa tub, small white wall cyc and tons of space. There is also a private makeup room, clothing storage, and prop storage room. Phase II will include completing the main showroom. The showroom is a huge open space with over 30' ceiling space, perfect for large scale studio shoots, commercial settings, or automobile shoots. Plans include a new lobby area, and the possibly a large white commercial cyc, as well as refinishing the film darkroom. Phase III will complete the renovations by installing a modern kitchen, private client meeting room, and white room for portrait work. Don't miss your chance to schedule a shoot today; as word of the new studio space spreads schedules for all three photographers will quickly fill up!
